Last June I took on a five-day “Hunger Challenge” to highlight the importance of the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)/CalFresh (formerly known as food stamps) and the difficulty preparing healthy, tasty meals on the same grocery budget used by millions of Americans receiving food assistance.

This blog started as a chronicle of that challenge and now I update it here and there with information relating to hunger and poverty in our community.

Let’s make a difference today so our neighbors always have food on their table.

Donate. Volunteer. Advocate.
